Graduate Students

Welcome to Winter Term!

Hopefully your Winter Break was everything you needed it to be and you're ready for winter in Ann Arbor! A member of the advising team will be in the office during business hours. We hope to see you soon!

Schedule an Advising Appointment

Academic advisors are available either in person or virtually. You can schedule an individual advising appointment in the Advising System. Be sure to check your advisor's modality as you schedule appointments! If you're meeting virtually, an email with a Google Meet link will be sent the morning of your appointment.

You can connect with us for quick questions during our virtual drop-in hours. You can access our virtual drop in hours here. Let us know if you have any difficulty by emailing

We will not be holding virtual drop-in hours during Spring Break (Feb 25-Mar 6).

Undergraduate Students

We hope you had a great winter break! We look forward to working with you this semester.  Please make note of the ways (listed below) in which you can connect with advising this term.

Ross Academic peer advising

In addition to your assigned academic advisor, Ross Academic Peer Advisors (RAPAs) are available to provide student perspectives and advice on academics at Ross and UM.

Senior BBAs Mia Jamiolkowski, Gita Kattimani, and Anders Nelson (pictured above, left to right) will be Ross Academic Peer Advisors for the 2021-2022 academic year.  Current BBA students may schedule an appointment to meet with a RAPA or visit them during their drop-in advising hours.

UNDERGRADUATE Academic Advising

Current BBA students may schedule an appointment to meet with an academic advisor during posted appointment times (usually made available two weeks in advance) or reach out to us via email.  Advisors also hold virtual drop-in advising hours Monday-Friday from 2-3:30 PM during the Winter term - please click here for updated details and information.

Preparing for Academic Success

  1. Check your schedule periodically, especially in the week before a drop/add deadline! Why this is important: Students can't change the grading basis of a course after the drop/add deadline. Also, if you have to late drop a course, the class will still count towards your term total units as well as remain on your record.
  2. Be sure that you're taking classes which will fulfill your degree requirements. Review the Core Curriculum page, schedule an appointment with your academic advisor, and/or review the "My Academic Requirements" link in Wolverine Access.
  3. Take a glance at your program's Bulletin. This handy resource contains answers to nearly all of the questions you may have about academic policies!
  4. If you would like to improve your performance in a class, reach out to the instructor for tutor references.
  5. Consider using Ross Communication Consulting for help with assignments.
