Use your Windows Mobile SmartPhone to view iMpact Bulletin Board news and Events. Check your recruiting activities and reserve a group study room on the fly. You can also use our secure IM to chat right from your phone. No laptop required.

M + Box

Through UM's partnership with Box, everyone gets 50gb of online storage space! Use it to store, share and discuss files with colleagues and access them all over the world, on a range of devices.

Virtual Lab

There's no need to purchase the special software that your professors may need you to use. Simply connect to our Virtual Lab and you will have access to all of the software that is imaged on the classroom and lab machines.

CTools

CTools is an advanced web-based course and collaboration environment. Instructors, researchers and students can create course and project websites using a number of tools, such as announcements, discussion boards, chat and document storage.

IFS File Storage Space

The University provides a file storage space to every member of the University. This storage space can be easily accessed over the web. Shared and Public folders allow you to share documents with colleagues that are not a part of Ross and therefore do not have access to My iMpact. The IFS storage space can also be used to create a personal website.

Virtual Private Network

VPN allows your to securely access network drives or Secure access to network resources. Using VPN to connect to our computer network from remote locations minimizes the security risks inherent in data transfer across the Internet.

Remote Desktop (Faculty/Staff/PhD)

With Remote Desktop, you can connect to your work computer from home and access all of your software programs and network resources using the internet or a VPN connection.

Shadow Copy (Faculty/Staff/PhD)

Shadow Copy is a network tool that creates copies of files saved on the network so you can retrieve versions of a document you may have accidentally deleted or overwritten. You can restore versions that are as much as two weeks old.
