Registration Dates

To find out when you can start registering for a term or for course bidding timelines, be sure to view your course registration information.

 

Spring, Spring/Summer, and Summer 2013 Dates*

  • Dates and deadlines for non-Ross classes may differ from those listed here. Refer to the University Academic Calendar to determine the appropriate deadlines for each non-Ross course.  
  • For Ross students, the deadline to drop classes is no later than the last regular class meeting. See FORM for details.

Mon, May 6

  • Last day to disenroll for Spring Half and Spring/Summer terms.
  • Last day to process initial registration without late registration fee for Spring Half and Spring/Summer terms.

Tues, May 7

  • Classes Begin Spring Half (7-week) and Spring/Summer (14-week) terms.
  • Begin assessment of late registration fee for initial Spring Half or Spring/Summer term registration.
  • Registration and disenrollment fees assessed to any student who withdraws from Spring Half and/or Spring/Summer terms.

Mon, May 20

Spring Drop/Add Deadline

  • Last day to access Web Registration for Spring term.
  • Drop/Add Deadline for Spring Half term classes.
  • After today, all Spring Half term election changes must be approved by the Academic Unit.
  • After today courses dropped will receive a “W” grade (Official Withdrawal). There is no tuition reduction for courses dropped.
  • Last day to withdraw (drop all courses) from Spring Half term with assessment of registration and disenrollment fees only.

Tues, May 21

  • Begin fifty percent tuition reduction for students who withdraw (drop all classes) from Spring Half term.

Tues, May 28

Spring/Summer Drop/Add Deadline

  • Last day to access Web Registration for Spring/Summer term.
  • Drop/Add Deadline for Spring/Summer term classes.
  • After today, all Spring/Summer term election changes must be approved by the Academic Unit.
  • After today courses dropped will receive a “W” grade (Official Withdrawal). There is no tuition reduction for courses dropped.
  • Last day to withdraw (drop all courses) from Spring/Summer term with assessment of registration and disenrollment fees only.
  • Last day to withdraw (drop all classes) from Spring Half term with fifty percent tuition reduction.

Wed, May 29

  • Begin fifty percent tuition reduction for students who withdraw (drop all classes) from Spring/Summer term.
  • No reduction in tuition and fee assessment for students who withdraw (drop all classes) from Spring Half term.

Mon, June 17

  • Last day to withdraw (drop all classes) from Spring/Summer term with fifty percent tuition reduction.

Tues, June 18

  • No reduction in tuition and fee assessment for students who withdraw (drop all classes) from Spring/Summer term.

  • Last day to withdraw (drop all courses) from Summer Half term with fifty percent tuition reduction.

Thurs, July 18

  • No reduction in tuition and fee assessment for students who withdraw (drop all courses) from Summer Half term.

- Last day to waitlist for Undergraduate & Graduate Fall A classes

Fall "A" Drop/Add Deadline
- Last day to access Web Registration for Undergraduate & Graduate Fall A classes
- Last day to Drop/Add Fall A classes without authorization
- Last day to Drop Fall A classes with a reduction in fees and without a "W" grade
- Last day to withdraw from term (if only taking 1st 7-week classes) with payment of Disenrollment Fee and Registration Fee only
 
September 17, Tuesday


Web Registration closed for Undergraduate & Graduate Fall A classes (7-week)
- All changes in Fall A course registration require signatures from Academic Services
- Drop of any Fall A classes requires a completed Request for Late Drop Form (also available in E2420)
- Add of any Fall A classes requires an email directly from the instructor to rossacadservices@umich.edu
- Students dropping a Fall A class will receive a "W" (Official Withdrawal)
- There is no reduction in tuition for Fall A classes dropped (e.g., if another course remains on student's Fall schedule)

September 22, Sunday
- Last day to waitlist for Undergraduate & Graduate Fall Classes (14-week)
 
September 23, Monday
